Say what?

So, I'm sure all this writing in the background is getting to be confusing, huh? Well, in lieu of a proper vocabulary list (soon to come, I simply have a mid-term Wednesday that's kicking my ass), I'm providing this handy dandy chart of what the symbols sound like. It's the alphabet of the Speech, if you will. I shrank it way down for the interwebs (about 12.5% of its original size) So if there are any viewing difficulties, do let me know.

Without further adieu, here it is. The alphabet of the Speech, the language of the Luminaries.

Vowels are attached to consonant characters, in the case of A and E, floating on the latter half of the symbol. I and O pass through the latter part of the symbol, and U floats like A and E. The vowels are read left to right and a character is allowed a maximum of two vowels to the consonant before another character is required.

The vocabulary list will be along shortly so you can translate those words and figure out what all the signs say. That said, if you make a donation, you get pages that are worded entirely in the Speech. The wording is vastly different in some cases, the English version here basically being a translation of the Speech version. Necessary to enjoy the comic? Not really, but fun, lots of fun, and helps me out.

The chart is also available through the Extras page, as well as the first storyboard and a few more pieces I'll upload later.
