Prizes Time Is Running Out!
I still don't have a winner for our little contest and it'll be over in about 3 days!
The question, again, is to name the work and painter the layout of the current comic is referencing.
Email me your answers, and whoever's right or closest wins a prize! At least a sketch, perhaps more. Who knows, we'll talk and I'll praise you for winning and it'll be awesome.
NEW HINTS!
A famous American series of 5, sequential paintings
Completed between 1834-1836
Part of the Hudson River School movement
The artist was born in England and later moved to America. He was discovered when John Trumbull spotted three landscapes he displayed in a New York bookstore window, and purchased one.
The work glorifies pastoralism
The artist also produced a series of 4 works depicting a man's religious journey through the world.
The paintings are now in the care of the New York Historical Society
I've given you a treasure trove of hints. Even with google, I wager someone out there can figure this out.
